Terms of Service

IsItExtra is a project scope management and business communication software tool. It uses artificial intelligence to compare the documented project scope and client requests you provide, highlight potential differences for your review, and help prepare a draft client response and scope change with a proposed fee and timeline that you choose.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use IsItExtra for your own business purposes, subject to these Terms and any plan you purchase.

IsItExtra is a project scope management and drafting tool, not a law firm, lawyer replacement, legal service, or contract review service. Its AI-assisted comparisons, confidence levels, quoted project language, explanations, draft client responses, and draft scope changes are for informational and business communication purposes only. They do not provide legal advice, determine contractual rights or obligations, create legally binding determinations, legal opinions, or a lawyer-client relationship. You are responsible for every decision you make and every document you send. Consult a qualified professional when legal advice is needed.

IsItExtra uses artificial intelligence, and AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or inapplicable to your circumstances. Comparison results depend entirely on the project agreement text and client request you supply. When the documented scope does not support a clear comparison, IsItExtra returns “Unclear — Review Recommended” rather than forcing a conclusion. AI-generated output is not suitable as a substitute for professional legal, tax, or other regulated advice. Always read and verify any generated content before relying on or sending it.

You retain all rights to the agreements, client requests, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host and process Your Content solely to perform the scope comparison you request and provide the service to you.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it. Only upload documents you are permitted to share, including under any confidentiality obligations you owe to clients or other parties. You are responsible for how you use the outputs, for verifying their accuracy, and for the prompts and inputs you provide.

IsItExtra processes Your Content temporarily to perform the requested scope comparison and does not intentionally retain uploaded agreements or client requests after the result is returned. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You must not misuse IsItExtra. In particular, you must not:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
• Submit content that infringes intellectual property rights or that you have no right to share.
• Use the service to create or analyze illegal content, hate speech, malware, or deceptive material (including deepfakes).
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service, interfere with its security, or scrape or extract it by automated means.
• Reverse engineer the service, circumvent technical or payment limits, or resell or redistribute access.
• Attempt to jailbreak, manipulate, or extract the underlying AI models or prompts.

We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend access where we reasonably believe this acceptable-use policy has been violated.

We own IsItExtra itself — the software, design, documentation, and branding — and all intellectual property in it. These Terms do not transfer any of that ownership to you. Outputs generated from Your Content (such as draft client responses and scope changes) are provided for your use in your own business; you are responsible for reviewing them and for your right to use the inputs they are based on. If you believe content on IsItExtra infringes your rights, contact us at the address in Section 15 and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Repeated infringement may result in suspension.

IsItExtra offers a Single Unlock (a one-time purchase that unlocks the full results of one scope comparison, currently US$9) and IsItExtra Pro (a recurring monthly subscription that unlocks full results for current and future comparisons while the subscription remains active, currently US$29 per month). Prices may change with notice; the price shown at checkout applies to your purchase.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment processing, billing, applicable taxes, subscription payment administration, and payment-related refund matters. IsItExtra remains responsible for support relating to the IsItExtra product itself. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which apply in addition to these Terms.

IsItExtra Pro renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the subscription management link in your Paddle receipt email or via paddle.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further renewals are charged. If a renewal payment fails or a subscription expires, Pro access ends until a valid payment is made. Because IsItExtra has no user accounts, Pro access is tied to the browser you used at purchase through a secure cookie; a Single Unlock applies to the specific comparison purchased.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a purchase, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date by visiting paddle.net or contacting us at the email in Section 15. Refunds are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record in accordance with Paddle's Refund Policy.

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to use IsItExtra. If you use IsItExtra on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

IsItExtra is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or error-free operation, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, or the consequences of any client dispute arising from your use of IsItExtra's outputs — and our aggregate liability to you is capped at the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of the acceptable-use policy. When access ends, any license granted to you under these Terms ends; because IsItExtra does not store Your Content, there is no data to export.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
